Easy Game Day Snacks // Recipes
Every year, in honor of America's favorite NFL team, we always have a big "to-do" in the Chenault household. Not because I care about football, but because my husband loves it! We all dress out in our Cowboy's attire and I let the kids help put together a few different snacks to munch on during the game.
We always have a variety of snacks to choose from. So I put together a few of our favorites to share with you. I purchased all of these items from Walmart, however I'm sure you can find them at any grocery store. These are extremely easy recipes. They are tastey snacks, and our kiddos love getting to help in the kitchen!
We'll start with the easiest item first. We love to get these little Hormel snack trays, even when theres not a special occasion. My favorite is the one with smoked turkey. When I am setting up a table for any occasion, I like to display the food so that's it's pleasing to the eye. So with these snack trays I just open the individual packages and put them on a ceramic serving dish. Totally not necessary, but I like it!!🤗
Next up are these pinwheel things... 🤷🏼♀️ not sure if that's the correct name for them?..
Anyway, I talked about these in a blog post from a while back, (here). Basically it's a turkey, ham, cheese, and spinach wrap, just cut into finger food size. They are so good, even my kids eat them WITH THE SPINACH!! We also like to dip them in ranch dressing. I don't like putting dressing inside the wraps for things like this, simply because, what if you don't eat all of it? It's gonna get soggy and nasty, so we stick to dipping! Obviously, you can add whatever you want into them.
I usually like to use the Joseph's flax whole wheat wraps, turkey, ham, or both. If I'm in the cooking mood, I'll fry up a few strips of bacon to throw in there. Also, I like changing up the kind of cheeses that I use. I like swiss, colby-jack, pepper-jack, cheddar, provolone,....lol I like all the cheese!!😂 Then of course the spinach! Like I said, super easy and there's no cooking involved!

Now let's get into a smidge of cooking, but still nothing too crazy or complicated. For any gathering, you absolutely cannot go wrong with Pig-in-the-blankets!! This was one of my favorite snacks as a kid. I loved it when my mom had a fresh batch of these made after I got off the school bus! I only liked them with the little smokies though, I didn't care much for the ones with hot dogs in them. You can use regular can biscuits, I prefer the crescents.
The next snack is a little bit more complex than the others, but still very simple. You use the crescents again, a small spoon full of spaghetti sauce, 2 or 3 pepperoni's, half of a string cheese stick, and BAM!! 💥Homemade Hot Pockets!! Using only 4 ingredients, 3 minute prep time, and 10 minutes to cook!! They. Are. Delicious. 😀
And saving the sweetest for last! I mean, is it really a party if there's no chocolate?!! These Nestle breakable chocolate chip cookies are the best. It's pretty self explanatory, but you just break them apart and cook for 10 minutes!😋
I really hope you enjoyed hanging out in my kitchen for a while today. What are some of your go to snacks for game day?! I'm always up for trying new things!! Bye y'all, meet ya right here, next Friday!!
