Summertime Nudes!
Hey guuuyyysssss!!!! 😀 With summer in full swing, and after I've already shared my "go to" makeup at the moment, I thought I'd narrow down some of my most fave lippies ar the moment! And if you haven't guessed by the title, they're all nudes that suit me!! 😉
I know that I've spoken about some, if not all of these products at one point or another. But I figured why not pull them all together for one post!! 😉 LOL Anyway, all of the following are and have been my "go to" lip products for at least the past 6 months to a year.
Up until about 2 years ago, I was always afraid of color. Well, mostly I was afraid of what others would think if they saw me wearing color. On top of that, I hate to waste money, so I couldn't just go buy a lipstick, because, what if it didn't look right on me? That would've been a total waste. Which is probably why I would always just wear carmex. Once I decided to subscribe to Ipsy, it really helped me to try new things, and really helped me find what was ME, and what made me comfortable. And at $10 a month, I didn't really feel like I was losing anything. With all of that said, I have figured out that the color that I gravitate towards or "go to" more than anything else is a nude! I feel like it pulls my makeup look together without being distracting.
The first 2 up are both from MAC Cosmetics. I've had these for about a year, and you can tell that they have been worn a lot! Lol I ordered them in a lip kit from last years Nordstrom sale. I can wear them separately or together to help give the illusion of having fuller lips.
2nd up is a lipstick from Tarte. This was either from Ipsy or Sephora Play, but either way it was from a subscription box. It's a smidge darker than a nude, definitely closer to a brown, but it's so beautiful on and it's not drying either!
Since I do get so many lippies from subscription boxes, I dont usually go out and buy new ones. But I saw this one at Walmart and thought, hmm... this looks similar to my MAC that's almost gone, why not try it?! 🤣 As soon as I put it on, I realized that it's the exact same color as my lips! I had heard people say, "your lip color but better" and I never understood why you would want a lipstick that's the same as your natural lip color, but I do now!! Lol This one is from Covergirl and it's a liquid lipstick that dries matte, but it doesn't leave your lips dry feeling at all. And, its transfer proof!
The next 2 lippies are glosses. The first one is a sheer gloss that Burts Bees was kind enough to send to me, to try out and review. Which I did in my Spring Makeup post, you can go check that out here.
This other one, is a Too Faced Lip Injection. When I first got this, I didn't read what it actually was, I just saw it and thought, oh, a lip gloss! Haha But when my lips started tingling and burning, I sure enough read what it was lol 🤣🤣 oh my goodness, I about had a fit that day!! Wheew!! Anyways, after I found out that its supposed to tingle to help plump up your lips, it was easier to mange the tingle!
My last 2 lip products are balms!! I use both of them on the regular. I think with me using Carmex for basically my whole life, I have stripped my natural lip moisturizers, so I have been trying to use other products to help with that. I dont know if you can get your natural moisturizers back or not, but I'm hopeful that I can. Constantly having dry lips is so annoying.
If yall know of any other brands that have amazing lippies, that I should try, let me know. I hope yall have an awesome weekend, byeeeee!!!!
