How To: Make A Vision Board

A few weeks ago I wrote a blog post titled Twisted Perspective It was basically me telling you the process that I go through when praying. Within that, one of my points was writing things down, or "Be Visual". Normally I write things down. However, for about 4 years now I have put together a vision board at the end of every year. And with this weekend being the last weekend of 2019, I thought it was perfect timing to share this "How To", with you!

vision board is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal. Literally, a vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do or have in your life.

Do you remember when you were in grade school, and you had to cut up your moms magazines for a project?! This is very similar to that. So first you'll need a lot of different magazines that cater to your specific goals for the next year and even for future years. I already get a few different magazines throughout the year, so that part is easy for me. If there's something specific that you're wanting to add to your board, and you can't find it in the mags, Google it! Then screenshot whatever it is. (Word of caution: Walmart will not develop anything that you screenshot from Google... 🙄... I learned the hard way. Take them to Walgreens! They're way faster anyways!!😃) Aside from the pics, you'll also need scissors, poster board, and glue or tape.

What I like to do is have categories set up, then I'll take my pics and place them under that category. I don't glue down anything til i have it the way i want it to look. There is no certain way that you have to do your board. I would suggest setting goals that are reachable for the next year, and then goals for the future! (I've had a Range Rover on every board that I've made!).

A few goal ideas;
- Get married
- Start a family
- Graduate college
- Go back to school
- Buy your first home
- Buy a new home
- Start a career
- Start your dream business
- Travel  to a different country
- Buy a Range Rover!!😉

These are just a few that I can think of off the top of my head. Just be sure that you make your board specific to you! It's never a good idea to share your vision board with anyone. So I'm not going to show you exactly what's on mine, but I did want to share how you can create your own for 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣ I hope y'all enjoyed todays post! Do you already make a vision board? If not, do you think you will now? I'll see yall next year!!😉
