Valentine's Day Makeup // February Ipsy Plus Review
Happy Valentine's Day to all my gal pals out there!!💕 Today we're serving up a super girly, flirty Valentine's Day look. Whether you're in a relationship or not, you can still dress up and slay the day!!💃🏼
Today I'm going to be going through, and reviewing my February Ipsy Plus box with you. I really enjoy getting to try new products every month that I normally wouldn't pick out for myself. If you are interested in Ipsy you can check them out here! Other than that, let's get into my February Ipsy Plus Box!!
First up in my Glambag, was a set of 3 face sheet masks' from Sweet Chef! I am a huge fan of sheet masks, and I was really happy to see that Ipsy gave 3 different ones to try! One is Kale + Vitamin B, which helps calm irritated skin and is super nourishing. One was Beet + Vitamin A, that helps refine your skin texture. And the 3rd is Ginger + Vitamin C, which helps even out your skin tone.
Second item in my box is a moisturizing bread spectrum SPF 30 from Murad. Now I LOVE Murads skincare line, I have been using them for quite some time. However, when it comes to SPFs, I typically try to avoid using them. It seems like my skin doesn't like SPF. I haven't pinpointed whether it's the SPF in some products that I use, or if it's the actual product that breaks me out. I have a trip coming up, where they specifically said, "bring sunscreen" so I will take this with me to use there. Fingers 🤞🏻 crossed it won't break me out.
Next up was actually one of the items that I was able to choose. I have been watching Christen DomInique on YouTube for years now, so when I saw her Sweater Weather palette was available, I had to snatch it up real quick. There are 6 matte shades, which offer you a variety of girly looks. Obviously with there not being any shimmers or glitters you're not going to get a full Glam look from the palette. The color scheme of this palette is perfect for everyday wear. They are blendable and buildable, so you can achieve the look your going for!
With this next item, I'm pretty sure this is the 3rd month in a row that I've received a felt tip eyeliner...! Lol I think I'm going to have to go in and change my profile settings to "no more eyeliners please!!" 😅 For real though this one from IL MAKIAGE, is not that bad. Its definitely better than the one from my January bag!! I still struggle to create that perfect winged liner, but I am trying!!😂 So I would say for beginner's, it's pretty easy to use. The tip doesn't dry out quickly, and its sharp enough to get a super fine line.
Lastly, I received a lipstick from Touch In Sol, a brand that I've never heard of. In the photo it looks like a very pretty pink, but on the lips, it's very bright! 😅 I was not expecting this to be an almost electric pink. It goes on smooth and I didn't notice any flaring, so that was nice. After wear it for a little while I did notice that it was pretty drying, I had to add some lip balm on top. Also, when i went to take my makeup off for the night, it was a booger to get off. So if you're looking for a lasting lipstick, shes your girl! Just be sure to have some balm or a gloss handy!
