Self Care Products That I've Been Loving / Beauty

Hey yall, Happy Friday!! 😃 I really feel like we're going to be coming out of this quarantine mess here pretty soon, which is a good thing! However, we don't wanna come out of all this ooking like those memes that have been floating around the Facebook and Instagram. So today I'm sharing some of the steps I've been taking during this time. Some of these products I bought and some were sent to me free to test out and review. For the most part, I love all of the products that I am sharing. Then some really didn't work out for nme.

A couple months ago I went into Ulta to look for a skincare product that would calm my naturally red face. The sales lady told me about the Clinique Redness Solutions, and told me how even people with rosacea. So I went ahead and picked it up. With that came a free gift, which was this small Clinique All About Eyes cream, and I'm always looking for a good eye cream so that was a win win!! After using the redness relief cream everyday for weeks and weeks, I didn't notice even the tiniest bit of change. I mean, it is very moisturizing on my skin, but it didn't do what it claimed. However!! The little eye cream that was the free gift with purchase, is amazing!! Its super hydrating, which is great to help soften fine lines.

I received these Murad products free for testing and reviewing purposes. Personally I love just about all of the Murad products that I've tried. There were actually 6 different products that i received, but some have been used up and tossed. There was only 1 that I really didn't care for, which its not shown here. Let me start with the Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream! I love this night cream it feels amazing on, it repairs little spots on your face super quick. Now I did have to use this for a good two weeks before I started noticing anything. I used that along with the Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Cream and the Vita-C Eyes.... I told yall, I am all about some eye creams!!! 😅 This combination mixed with my Clinique product, is just amazing!

I received thiese products free for testing and reviewing purposes. When these masks came in the mail I was kinda terrified!! Lol At this point I have only tried the Moisturizing Hyaluronic Acid. I actually have mixed thoughts on this whole situation. It comes with 1 packet of the hyaluronic acid and then the mask is in 2 sections. A top half and a bottom half. I'm assuming that's for people who only want to moisturize half of their face 🤷🏼‍♀️ OR maybe to multi mask because they have combination skin! 😂 Anyways, like I said, I only used the 1. I really think this is a great concept, its slightly different that other face nasks out there, but I'm wondering if maybe this was pushing it just a tad...🤏🏻 For the actual cream that you apply first, its everything that you would expect from a moisturizing cream. Now the rubber mask that you put on top feels very cool when you first put it on. The instructions say to leave it for 45 minutes. After the first 5 minutes I started noticing that it was sliding down my face... By time my 45 minutes was up, I was supper annoyed with it. SO, I'm assuming they want you to lay down while doing this treatment, but honestly, who has time for that?! 😅 I am hoping to get a chance to try out the other one this weekend!

I received this product free for testing and reviewing purposes. Up until now, I have never tried anything from Dermalogica. Other than the fact that its super pricey, I have never had a want to, ya know?! Normally I don't purchase products with SPF in them because I already know its not going to agree with my skin. However, when a brand sends me a product to test and review, I'm going yo give it a proper go. Unfortunately, this Invisible Physical Defense did not work for me. I'm not sure why I can't use SPF on my face, maybe its sensitive skin?? 🤷🏼‍♀️  All I know is when I use a product with it being in there, I get almost like a rash. Not a red ranch, but its like a cluster of bumps they are not pimples, just bumps.

For those who may not know, I'm subscribed to the Walmart Beauty Box. Its only $5 and it comes every quarter. I love it because they send totally random products that are sold at Walmart. Last summer there was a sample of the Dove body scrub, and oh my goodness I fell in love!! I am currently halfway through my 2nd jar of this stuff. It smells absolutely beautiful, and a scent that actually sticks with you after you've showered. Since its a body scrub, you can use it all over, and it leaves all of your skin feeling so smooth, and I love it!!

Another one of my favorite self care products is the St. Tropez self tanning foam. I have a naturally fair skintone, and this one works great for me. This one is the purity one that will build throughout the day, its a little lighter so i use this specific one in the winter months. Then when summer time rolls around and im out at the pool for most of the day, i use the St. Tropez Express. That one gets you way darker than the purity and in less time.

I hope yall are taking care of yourselves during all the chaos going on around us right now. Do yall use any of these self care products? Or maybe you have a recommendation for me to try out? Let me know!!
