How To: Snack Better

I am quite possibly one of the biggest snackers that there ever was. When it comes to food, specifically snacks & junk food, I'll be the first to admit I HAVE AN ADDICTION!!! If you follow my Instagram Stories, then you probably already know this!!😅 


Now I'm not saying that I eat super healthy every meal, oh no... a lot of times I'll only have 1 healthy meal a day; and normally it's breakfast. So throughout the day I really have to try to be mindful of what snacks I'm putting in my body. Below are a few tips for anyone wanting to snack better !!

Disclaimer; I am not a doctor, dietitian, or nutritionist.  These are just some of the things that I eat, along side some key dietary supplements to help me maintain my body. I also, am not here to try to sell you anything, I am simply telling you what I do because it works for me.  

- Popables! Keeping the good snacks around that are accessible and easy to just pop in your mouth and fill that feeling of wanting to eat. I personally love blueberries, almonds, baby carrots, popcorn, string cheese, olives, pickles... etc... lol I could go on & on really!! I just love food!!

- Drink a shake! If you're trying to not over indulge at the upcoming family Easter Lunch, but you dont wanna hurt grandmas feelings by not eating her famous Coconut Cake, drink a protein shake before you go in.  This will allow you to still have a couple bites of your favorite foods, but it will curb your appetite immensely. For the past several years, I've been making the best fruit smoothies, (in my opinion anyways..), and all it calls for is frozen fruit and cranberry juice, and its delicious!! 😋 Either of these will also curb your sweet tooth!!

- Hydrate!! If you're feeling hungry for no reason other than boredom, drink a glass of water. Your body sometimes confuses being dehydrated for being hungry. So instead of grabbing that little bag of chips or that Little Debbie, grab a glass of water instead.

Being completely transparent here, I'm still gonna put sugary creamer in my coffee, I'm still gonna drink soda, I'm still gonna have chips with my tuna sandwich, or on it really!! 🙄 DONT JUDGE!! 😂🤣  I want crinkle cut fries with my burger, steak fries with my philly cheesesteak sandwich, and waffle fries at Chick-fil-a!!  So I'm just like anyone else out there when it comes to things we love to eat! Life is all about balance right?!!😅
