🌸 March Beauty Bag 🌸
Spring time is such a magical time of the year. I love how nature transitions from winter with new growth. We are well on way to spring, and I am so excited! ☺ With the season changing to something fresh, it's also time to shift your makeup look as well. 🌸 This months IPSY bag is definitely getting me on track for that!
First, we'll start with skincare as usual!! We have a Clarity Lotion from Pixi. Usually with Pixi products it's a hit or miss kinda thing. I'd say this one leans closer to a hit. It's an oil free moisturizer that's suppose to reduce the appearance of pores by absorbing excess oil. I have pretty oily skin, so this works good for me so far. I've been using it every night for about 2 weeks, and it hasn't broken my face out, so that's a plus. If you have dry skin, this may not be the product for you. After applying the product it feels very tacky, but I use other skincare products on top, so that's not a big deal for me. The packaging is kind of annoying though... once you take the lid off, the product just pours out. This retails for $24.
Second is an eyeshadow palette from Complex Culture. I actually really like this palette. It has the softer more neutral colors that work best for me and my skintone. Plus a lot of color scares me. This particular palette is set up in sections to make it easier for those of us who are not the best at makeup, but still enjoy makeup. The 9 shades are set up in columns labeled Workwear, Brunch, & Night Out. In each column, from top to bottom, you have a matte base, a deeper matte for the crease, and a shimmery topper. I think this is a great idea, however it's majority cool tones, and I'm definitely more into warm tones. So I know I'll get good use out of the middle column, but probably not much of the other 2. Other than that, the colors are plenty pigmented. I didn't notice much fallout, but there was quite a bit of kickback. This palette retails for $28. Personally I think this is definitely worth it. The packaging feels really good and hefty in your hand and there's a nice sized mirror!
Next, which goes with the above!! We have an eyeshadow brush set from MODT Cosmetics. This is a brand that I've never heard of before. However, I do appreciate getting the whole set of 5, instead of just 1!! 🤷🏼♀️😅 They seem to get the job done efficiently, although I can't see spending $50 for it!!
Then we have a lip oil from Florence. Again, a brand that I've never heard of. I actually really like this oil. It's different than other lip products that I've tried. It's really moisturizing and not sticky like a gloss. This retails for $14, and I think it's definitely worth it!!
Lastly, we have a brow / lash topper from HAUS Laboratories. I thought this was a neat product, something I have not ever tried before. Obviously I couldn't use this on my brows because it's black, and well, ya know!!💁🏼♀️ So I use this on my lashes after applying mascara, and it's so cool! It makes your lashes glittery!!
Other than a few technical difficulties with packaging, I really liked this months Glambag, I know I'll get a good use out everything! If you get Ipsy monthly, what cool new products did you get? Thanks so much for being here, I'll see yall next week!!
