Half-Bath Makeover
Good Morning!! Today I'm sharing another completely updated space in our home, and that would be our hallway half-bath!! This was 1 of the last rooms that we started working on. I think we were so focused on other areas in the house, that we just pushed it off as long as we could.
This room... whew...🙄... ok first, it's the smallest space in the entire house. And then for some reason, one of the previous owners thought it was a good idea to do wall to wall wallpaper of an extremely bold floral print.... it was a lot. (Also, I failed to get a true before pic,🤦🏼♀️ but I did manage to get a before video?!... 🤷🏼♀️😅 So the below pic is a screenshot..)
We knew we wanted to change out the countertop, but as you can guess, they're pretty pricey. So at first we changed everything but that. I stripped the wallpaper and painted the walls white. I also painted the cabinet in the same white color. I swapped out the knobs to match the faucet. My father inlaw installed a more updated light fixture. This room stayed like this for several months, before we found a countertop that we liked.
We actually found this gray granite countertop at a local place called Salvage Railroad, for less than $200! The only thing is it didn't come with the side backslash pieces. Thankfully we have a "granite guy"! So we called him up! He came out, took measurements, and had the pieces installed about a month later. I couldn't believe that he had exactly what we needed. I mean it was a perfect match!!
We are so happy with how it turned out! I hope yall enjoyed taking a peek at another finished space in our house!
