Stepping Into Fall // Fall Color 2018
Good morning everyone, and Happy Last Friday of summer 2018... 😳 wait, what?... 🙄 That's right, starting tomorrow it's officially fall. 😀 It may not feel quite like fall in your neck of the woods, ahem, Florida, but it will be none the less. So pull out those fleece blankets, knit sweaters, and over the knee boots. Grab a coffee and head to the pumpkin patch because its fall yall!! 🤣
Yall already know that I'm not the one to jump on the trendy train, and go purchase a bunch of new stuff to stay relevant in the fashion community. However, I did check out my closet to see what I already had. And much to my surprise, I found several wine colored pieces in my collection. So I figured that I would share with you, how I would wear each piece.
~ First Look ~
My first look include these super cute dressy, velvet tennis shoes. I bought these about 2 years ago from a little boutique back home called Rae-Tays. They are the brand Forever. And the color is actually burgundy. I love these little shoes. They're so light weight and comfortable to wear. They're just different from anything that I have. I found them on sale for $10. With them being more of a statement shoe I just paired them with a pair of $10 skinny jeans from TJMaxx, a $6 basic white tee from Nasty Gal, an $8 cardigan that I'm pretty sure I got from Walmart, and a $6 beanie, again from Walmart!! Not bad for a $50 outfit huh?!! 😉 Lol no seriously, I already had these items so we weren't out any money for this outfit!!
~ Second Look ~
For my second look I went with a more dressy, but still super casual outfit. I feel like nothing screams fall more than a good denim jacket and booties! I do believe that I have only wore this dress twice since I got it. It was just too cute to not get. A few years ago on our way to Daytona Beach, we stopped in Tallahassee to rest for the night. For those who don't know, my husband's favorite college football team is FSU, which is in Tallahassee. So there was no way we were leaving without stopping at the Garnett and Gold store. As soon as I saw the dress I had to grab it! (I dont remember the price). I paired it with a good denim jacket that I got a couple months ago from TJMaxx. I wanna say it was like $12. And the brown booties, again I've had for a few years now. I got those from Stage back home. They're the brand Jellypop. Like before, I already had these pieces, so essentially i didn't have to spend any extra 💰 mulah on this outfit!
~ Third Look ~
This last look will actually surprise you, because to be honest, it surprised me!! However, it does thrill me to know that my style has pretty much stayed the same throughout the years. I bought these Antonio Melani boots from Dillards, when i was 17 years old!! Lol I was on an FBLA trip in Little Rock, and as soon as I saw them I was in 😍 love!! They were on sale for $64, goodness I was on cloud nine! I still remember the other kids at school making nasty comments about them, some girls snarled their noses, and my cousin called them roach killers! But that didn't stop me from wearing them!! 🤗 I'm 32 years old now, and YES I still wear them!! 🤣 This super cute bodycon style dress is a little bit skandy! Definitely wouldn't wear this to church! 🤣 I got it from Lulu's months ago on clearance for like $9. And the faux leather moto jacket is from TJMaxx, I got it about a year ago, and I think it was like $20??? 🤔... And there's the 3rd look that was already in my closet! Not a bad start for fall!
And that's all the burgundy that I have in my closet at the moment. I was really surprised to find what I did. Anyway, I hope yall enjoyed today's post as much as I did. It's always fun to do new things and its even more fun to play around with fashion! I hope yall have an awesome weekend and remember to stay true to you!
