Transitional Fall Makeup // September Ipsy Glam Bag 2018
What is up yall?!! Today is an EXTREMELY overdue post, but its totally not my fault. For some reason I didnt get my Ipsy bag til last Saturday, which is very unusual. I'm not trying to complain, but seriously I normally get my bag between the 12th and 14th every month. But besides that, I think my bag was pretty awesome this month. I got some products that will help transition my makeup collection into the fall months.
First up in my bag is a mattifying face primer by Elizabeth Mott. Smooth this baby on in the morning and you’re set. It lasts through the day, night, and pretty much anything. The silky, lightweight formula also shuts down shine and helps minimize the appearance of fine lines and pores (it’s like a real-life Insta-filter!). It’s waterproof, so there’s no chance of your makeup sliding off if you get caught in the rain. Like all of Elizabeth Mott’s fab formulas, this one’s cruelty-free.
Second in my bag, is this shimmery, brown eyeshadow from IBY. I've gotten several of their products over the years, and I really enjoy them. This is an eyeshadow that’s buttery soft, super blendable, and good for your skin. This one’s infused with rosehip seed oil, which is rich in essential fatty acids that keep your skin smooth and hydrated all day.Fire and Ice gives me all the feels. The color shifts from a brick brown shade to a cool, army green as it catches the light.It’s cruelty-free, so your furry friends will approve.
This next product did not come in my glam bag, it was an extra that I used my points on, (that I totally forgot about...🙄) It's an absolutely gorgeous eyeshadow from Steve Laurant. Its highly pigmented and easy blendable formula. Theres no fall out, and its long lasting. It doesn't crease and its perfect for any skin tone
The 3rd product in my glam bag was a blush from Doucce. This blush is completely buildable, so you can layer it to build intensity, which is perfect for my fair complexion. The silky powder blends into the skin for a totally streak-free finish. Im already dreaming up endless fall looks to pair with this shimmery rose-mauve shade!
Then we have Superhero babes + makeup brushes? Yes, please! I am seriously *flipping out* over this awesome Suicide Squad character Harley Quinn-inspired brush, a collab between Warner Brothers and LUXIE BEAUTY. It doesn’t just look good—this brush blends your makeup like a dream. The soft, smooth bristles buff out your liquid, cream, and powder formulas for a totally airbrushed effect It picks up just the right amount of product, so it’s great for getting a sheer finish. This brush beauty is vegan and cruelty-free.
Last, but certainly not least is a herbal whipped body cream, from HEMPZ. I was so excited about this being in my bag. If you had read my post about my favorite lip products, then you would've seen the HEMPZ lip balm. As a teenager I started using their tanning lotion for the tanning bed, (probely because my mom used it), but I loved it non the less. This lightweight formula gets your skin hydrated and soft (and doesn’t feel the least bit greasy).It’s made with apple fruit extract that’s loaded with vitamin C to give your skin a radiant glow.Yangu oil is rich in essential fatty acids and helps reduce inflammation.The peach and grapefruit scent smells so light and refreshing—I can’t stop sniffing it!
