Christmas Shopping For The Kids // Walmart
Hey yall, happy Friday!! I have never put together a post like this, and to be honest, if I wasn't a chicken, i would've just recorded this for my YouTube channel. BUUUTT... 🙄... I am, so here we are!! 😃 This was actually a last minute idea. I had another post ready to go up, only what I needed for pictures was delayed in North Carolina... and so we found ourselves in Walmart!
We actually aren't getting our kiddos much for Christmas, as far as "presents" go. We are planning a trip to Daytona for a week, and we're gonna shoot over to Disney for a day while we're there! Which is super exciting! We haven't been there since Lillian was 2, and shes now 7, and EllyKay has never been. We haven't told them yet, but I know they are going to be stoked!!

Stephen and I had Elly with us, so we had to be as sneaky as possible. I even let her watch videos on my phone to keep her distracted! 😂 Until we came across the bikes 🚲, then she wanted out of the buggy! And oh man did she want a bike! But those were actually more than we were wanting to spend, so we just let her ride around on them for a little while.
On Wednesday, we had went into Walmart to get a can of paint for our living room project, and she spotted this plush jelly dreams thing... 🤣🤷🏼♀️ and seemed to really like it, so we went ahead and grabbed it. (She flip-flops so much on what she likes, we cant keep up, and this was the most recent interest of hers! Plus it was only $25)
If you have an older little girl, I'm sure you've heard all about the LOL's. For MONTHS this is all Lillian has been talking about. To be completely honest, I dont even really know what it is?? From the pictures on the box, it looks like tiny dolls?! We weren't real sure on which one to get, so we got the one that said 3-in-1... 🤷🏼♀️ whatever that means!! It was $40 I think.
Shopping for Gavin was a little more tricky. Hes 11, and is not into toys anymore. Hes more into science stuff, like animals & bugs. Learning about different countries & cultures. He's taught himself to speak a few phrases in French and German. Which doesn't surprise me at all, considering he taught himself to say the alphabet backwards in kindergarten, and can still remember it!! He said he wanted a PS4, but again, that's WAY more than we are wanting to spend, (Disney, remember Disney!) We know that he's really been wanting to make videos for his YouTube channel, so I thought a camera would be a good idea, and also an investment into his future. We looked at all of the ones that Walmart had to offer, and basically went with the cheapest option. We got him a Kodack digital camera that can record. It was $60 and its a great starter camera (for an 11 year old). It's easy to use, and is so basic it takes actual batteries. So it's nothing super fancy!
Other than the one tangible gift for them to open on Christmas, we did get some smaller things to go in their stockings. My kids love playing games, so we grabbed UNO, DOS (blasphemy), and a regular deck of playing cards. We picked up a memory card and camera case for Gavin, so those will go in his stocking. Lillian is such a girly girl who's growing up too fast. I catch her sneaking into my room to get a spray of my perfume, which I dont care, but I do think it's a too strong for a little girl. So we got a few small bottles of the body mists, and some lip glosses. Like I said earlier about Elly, shes kinda into everything at the moment. One day shes playing with barbies, the next shes playing with power rangers (shes well rounded if ya ask me!🤣) Anyway, we got her some of the little barbies, you know, like the little sister. We'll probably add in a few more little things and some candy, but other than that Christmas shopping for our kids is finished! 😊 Now I get to wrap it all!!
