The Perfect Cozy Night In // Family Movie Night
Hey y'all, what's up, how ya doin, how's it goin?!! I'm so glad you clicked on this post, because today I'm going to share with you how we do Family Movie Night! 😃 Every Friday night I try my absolute hardest to make Family Movie Night as special as possible. This is something that I've been doing for probably, 4 years at this point.

When I first started to implement movie nights, we would only do them about once a month. It didnt take long for me to realize that this is something that my kids thoroughly enjoyed and really looked forward to. And as parents we really strive to make our childrens' childhood as memorable as possible. There are so many things that my mom did with me and brothers, when we were kids, that I do with my kids!
Prior to the actual movie night, I always ask what they want for dinner, that way I can go to the store while they're at school to grab what we need. Its usually something pretty simple and ALWAYS kid friendly. We've had everything thing from pizza to chili dogs, to pancakes, to Mexican pizza! But besides the main dish, we HAVE to have popcorn AND box candy of their choice! In the summer months, I will let them have 1 soda. But with it being super cold outside right now, we've been having hot cocoa!
The most important thing about a "movie night" is the movie! Sometimes we will check the guide on satellite to see what's coming on, but the majority of the time we look on Netflix to see what new movies are out. If the 3 cannot decide on a movie, then we will draw names. Around any major holiday I make them pick a movie thats related to that holiday. Like now, with it being December, the only options they have are Christmas movies!
It may seem like a lot to you, but I'm thinking of the future here. Once my kids are grown with kids of their own, I want them to pass on, "when I was a kid, my mom use to always go all out every Friday night. No matter if I was in trouble or made a bad grade on a test, my momma ALWAYS planned the BEST Family Movie Nights!"
