Holiday Makeup // December Ipsy Glambag
Happy Friday y'all!! Today I will be sharing what I got in my Ipsy Glambag for the month of December! For those who do not know, ipsy is a $10 monthly subscription that offers 4 deluxe samples, always 1 full size makeup product, and it all comes in a cute little makeup bag! I actually skipped last month only because I had other things going on at the time. However I'm back with Decembers, and ready to go! I absolutely love this months bag, it's what inspired this more glam, or as glam as I can get!!, Holiday party look! Now, let's get into the bag. As always I go in the order in which I would use the products.
First up in my bag is the very pretty eyeshadow from The Balm Cosmetics. It's in the shade Bootylicious! 🤣 I love how The Balm always has punny names for their products! In the picture it shows a little more brown, but in person, it pulls a little more maroon-brown. It looks so good applied dry, but adding a little water intensifies the color and makes your eyes really pop. I actually really like this product. It's highly pigmented and blended out like a dream!
The second product in my bag is this tapered blending brush from the brand F.A.R.A.H. Brushes. It's a very pretty brush, it will look nice in my collection. I used this brush to blend out eyeshadow. It blends out amazingly to leave a nice gradient. It is kinda big for an eye brush, and I almost messed up when I first applied The Balm eyeshadow. But I really liked using this brush!
Next up was this blue-purple holographic highlight. Which like before, I only did a swatch on my hand just to see what it would look like. Yall I cannot get on board with the crazy colors, it's just not me in the least bit. So this little guy will go in a box of makeup that will be donated!
Then I got this liquid lipstick from Ciate London. I was really excited about this when I saw the sneak peek. When I swatched it on my hand, it was a beautiful rich color, and dried down to a true matte. But when I applied it on my lips it had an extremely sticky feel, and it almost started the flake off in patches when I would rub my lips together. So that was not a good situation.
My 5th product was a lip tint gloss from Dr. Lipp, in Sweet Potato. Since the liquid lipstick was so terrible, I put this on top, and it totally helped it not be so sticky. And since it was so lightly tinted, it didnt change the color, it just made my lips look super glossy.
My 6th (I forgot to mention earlier that this month Ipsy decided to throw in a 6th product as a Christmas gift!), and final product is this extremely bright purple nail polish from Tinct Cosmetics in the color Aarhus. It is very pretty, but I haven't used it since I have my nails red for the holidays. But I'll use this probably more in the summer time.
This months bag was ok, I've definitely had worse. I'm gonna have to go in my account to check my profile. I'm pretty sure I didnt click the "send me wild colors" button. Anyway, with all that said, I hope yall enjoyed my review on my Ipsy December Glambag!
