Trying New Makeup // February Ipsy Glambag
Good morninnnnnggggg!!! Right now I feel like the little birds that sing in Cinderella...🤔... its actually kinda creepin me out.. Stephen said I should lay off the drugs, but I blame it on the coffee! 😃😂🤣Annnywhooosey, what's up yall?! Today we are going to dive into my February Ipsy Glambag!! 👛 When I first started doing the Ipsy reviews, I really used them as filler posts; like it's a given that I'm gonna have at least one thing to post every month that doesn't require a ton of thought and planning.🤷🏼♀️ But then I started using their theme or coming up with some other theme of my own, and doing a whole photoshoot around said theme.💡 And now I look forward to them every month, because I know it helps to boost my creative juices! OK so, enough rambling, let's get into it!!
First item in my bag and the one that I was most excited about is the superfood face wash from Elemis! I first heard about this brand through Lydia Elise Millen, a YouTube vlogger that I watch. When I checked into this brand I noticed that they were pretty pricey. A full size of this face wash is $25. Personally, I thought that was a little much for a face wash. However, now having used it for the past week, I am most certainly going to be purchasing this product! I am so happy with the results of my skin. It feels super hydrated and it has that healthy shine to it.
Second item in my bag was this beautiful navy / royal blue eyeshadow from Space Case. I have never heard of this brand before. And if yall have been following along for a while, then you'll know that I am a Neutral Nelly all the way, but I did try it out. It looked terrible on me. I think i would need to practice more with deeper colors and learn how to use them properly. It is highly pigmented, and its buttery soft to the touch.
Next item up was a gloss bar... I have never heard this term used before, but basically it's a tinted lip balm. The packaging is so adorable, and surprisingly enough I really like this product. Its perfect for those no makeup, makeup days, when you dont wanna go in ham with a full face of heavy products. Then again, if you did want a little more color, this can be built up to a fuller pigment!
Then, I got this shae butter hand cream from PURLISSE that smells amazing!! When I first signed up for Ipsy, I would literally roll my eyes at the lotions. But now I love them, as long as they smell good!! Lol Seriously though, I go through hand cream like crazy. I hate the feeling of dry hands, so I throw these in my bag for when I'm on the go!
Last annnddd definitely least... 🙄... I got another brush....🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I'm pretty sure I changed my profile last month. Maybe I need to start giving the brushes a 1 star?? But then that's not fair to the brands. Ughhh... Like the one I got last month, I didn't even open it to try it out. I'll just toss it in my giveaway box. Honestly I thought about not including it in this post, just because it's such a downer and I try to keep this my little happy place of positivity and encouragement.
So OVERALL, my February bag was not bad, I love all the new products. And I'm interested to see how that blue works out for me after I've played with it. That's all I have for yall today. I hope yall have an amazing weekend and an even better work week!
