On The Bright Side // Summer Fashion
It seems like Spring just got here and now Summer is full steam ahead! Y'all know for the most part, my closet is basically black and white with a dash of color. Which does not go in line with some of the top fashion trends of 2019. These 3 fashion trends are definitely not something that I gravitate towards. However, I think I have found subtle, wearable ways to incorporate these few pieces into my collection.
First up is NEON, which is great because I already have a pair of neon green kicks!! 😳 Yes I know, like whaaa?? 😂 The only time I wear them is when I'm teaching in my Zumba class. So technically they are "Zumba" shoes, but they can still be worn as regular sneakers. I knew that I wanted to get a plain neon shirt that could be worn many different ways, but not having to spend a load of money on, because let's face it, trends come and go too fast for all that!🤑

Next up is TIE-DYE! I remember when I was a kid, me and a friend tried to make a tie-dyed t-shirt... it did not turn out very well!!🤣 Honestly, I don't think I could pull off wearing a lot of tie-dye at once, so I opted for a tie-dye belt bag. The way I styled the bag, is effortless while still being "trendy", without going overboard. It just adds interest and a pop of color to an all black outfit!

And the 3rd top trending fashion item in 2019 is sequins! Sequins can be so fun when worn right. The trick is to not go crazy with it. If you're anything like me, you only wear sequins every now and then. Like, I have a gold sequined blazer that I got for a Christmas party a few years ago. And then a navy blue cocktail dress that I got for Winners Circle in New Orleans. So when I saw that sequins was trending this year, I had get at least one other piece that could be worn this summer. I found this colorful tank and thought it was just so pretty, so I decided to dress it up by pairing it with skirt, heels, and a cute little bag, making this outfit a great option for date night!!
