Prophetic Dream, Prophetic Talk, Prophetic Walk.
Happy Black Friday everyone, I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving! Ours was spent unpacking boxes! However, we did get an invite from a girl at our church, which was so thoughtful considering that we're not around family this year. I'm not gonna ramble on any longer, because this post is already pretty lengthy. So refill that coffee cup, you may need it!!
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, then you already know that WE BOUGHT A NEW HOME!!! AHHH.... man, it feels so good to finally be able talk about it! Not that it was a secret because we did tell our family, we just didn't announce it on social media. I guess we didn't want to jinx anything by talking about it too early... (sounds dumb when you say it out loud...haha!). But it has probably been the LONGEST 45 days of my entire life.
As most of you know, we recently moved from Arkansas to Florida. Arkansas is the only place that Stephen and I have ever really known as "home". We're now about 10 hours from our family and friends, coworkers and acquaintances. Most knew that we moved. However, very few really knew how it all happened; and that's what today's post is about. I'm really going to try to keep my thoughts from bouncing around, so if this seems scattered in any way, I apologize in advance. It's just sometimes I have to explain one thing so that something else makes sense. Make sense?? Lol And I probably should have made this into a couple different post's, but it all kinda goes together.
**Now before I jump into this, you might wanna go read this post before you continue, because it will make a lot more sense.**
Let me start with this prophetic word from Apostle Chris Mathis that was spoken over us last May 2017.
"God is removing a mantle that He had put there, and replacing it with a new mantle that we would begin to walk in. There are big decisions to be made, and God will reveal the answers in the next 7 days. Six months from now, you will be in a completely different place. You are revival minded people, because God has given you a revivalists heart. And you won't settle for for anything else."
Flashback: A week before we went on Vacation last May; We had an appointment for our realtor to come check out our house, so that we could list it. The appointment was set for the Monday after we got back home from vacation.
Now, he said, "There are big decisions to be made, and God will reveal the answers in the next 7 days". This was said on a Wednesday night. Our realtor called that following Monday morning to say that there was a death in her family, and that she wouldn't make it out til Wednesday. (Ahem, 7 days).
From there, we went back and forth with our realtor about what we could do to help our house sell faster. She gave her thoughts, and we did everything that she suggested, on top of praying, and officially listed our 1920's home on July 10, 2017.
During that time, Stephen had been offered a few different positions at the Longview, Marshall, and Tyler, stores; all of which are in Texas. So to be completely honest, we were preparing our hearts and minds for that. However, every time it seemed like a new door was opening, something would happen and it would close. For example; Stephen had told Verizon that he would take a position. But then, that district went on a hiring freeze. So basically that door was slammed shut.
About a week or so before Sisson came out to take pictures of our house and officially listed it, Stephen saw that there were 2 spots open at the store in Destin. So he applied for a transfer, and it was about a week later he got the call saying that he got the job! Then we had to start preparing for a move to Florida.
Flashback: Back in March I had a dream, which I wrote down in my dream journal; March 2017 I wrote;
"I don't know where we were. There were several people around. A man, (slender, average height, brown hair, clean cut, dressed casual; blue button down with rolled up sleeves, tucked in, and khaki pants), shook Stephen's hand and said, "We will miss you, but we know you're going to a good group of people". He didn't say where Stephen was going, but I knew that he was going to Crestview, FL." Once I told Stephen about the dream, he said that I had just described Matt Baker, which was his district manager, that I had never met before, nor have I seen a picture of.
If you don't know, God uses dreams to speak to us. It's actually one of the best ways for our creator to have our undivided attention. After I wrote the dream down, I pulled out my dream book and asked God to help me interpret it.
-Man = (if unknown and kind) represents God, Jesus, or an Angel.
-Friendly = Jesus or obedient disciple.
-Boss = Jesus, God
-Matt = Matthew = Gift from God.
-Crestview, FL. = Blooming, Flowering.
**gosh, it's so hard for me to get through all this without weeping. I had totally forgot about that dream, until I started typing this out...**
With Stephen's transfer date set, we had to start getting serious about finding a place to live. We knew that he would be working in Destin, and that The Summit was in Crestview. As push came to shove we had to go with what was available at that time. Which ended up being a tiny rent house in Fort Walton Beach. Like seriously, I thought our house in Arkansas was little, and it was 1,400 sq. ft. The rent house was 1,000 sq. ft. But we knew that it was only a temporary situation so we were fine with it.
One Sunday back in September, Pastor Chris had read something from Apostle Damon Thompson. It was basically talking about going into the next season with thanksgiving, and how God is seating people at His table and preparing them for what's to come in 2018. And how no matter the circumstance, no matter what the situation looks like, give thanks anyway. So I started praying, "God, I hate this house, it's ugly, and it's tiny, but I thank you for bringing us here, and I thank you for allowing us to be a part of what you're doing here". That night, when Stephen got off work, he told me that our house in Arkansas was under contract! Which as most saw, it did sell on October 23, 2017
After our house in Arkansas went under contract, we were finally able to start physically looking, not just online, for our new home here in The Sunshine State! We had a couple places saved that we wanted to go check out. Then one night we got an email from our realtor on a house that hadn't even hit the market yet, but was going to the next morning. This house, from pictures, was perfect. We set up an appointment to go look at it. That morning we were told that there were 8 other showings for this property; the PRICE WAS RIGHT!!
As we were leaving FWB, I went to put the address in my GPS and noticed the first 4 numbers were 2809. At that point I told Stephen, "the house is ours we don't have to worry about a thing!" He looked at me all crazy and asked why. I then pointed out that 2809 was our wedding anniversary; 03-28-09. When we got there, it was on a corner lot, there was a privacy fence, and the road in front of the house went into a cul-de-sack, it was absolutely perfect! Stephen said, "well I guess I'll park on the side of the road." Then it was my turn to look at him all crazy! I was like, "boy, you better pull up in that driveway like you own it!" lol He was like, "yeah, ok, ok"! lol Anyway, while walking through the house, we both just felt an overwhelming feeling of peace about it. We knew that this was our next home. We had our realtor set up an offer and that night it was accepted! WOW!! All together there were 9 showings on the house with multiple offers, and they accepted ours. I can't even begin to explain the feeling, all I can do is thank God for favor!!
Back to the prophetic word that Apostle Chris spoke over us. That word was given to us at the end of May 2017, we closed on our new home at the end of November 2017. (Ahem, six months later)! Man, isn't God a good Father? I mean wow, He's never too early, and never too late, but He's always on time. God is so faithful to His word; and to the promises He has given you.
Psalms 37:23 The Lord directs the steps of the righteous.
Ive said it before and I'll say it again, God loves me so much! He has given me favor because I have a standing relationship with Him. I don't just run to daddy when I'm in trouble or need help. I genuinely spend time with the Father. He is a relational God who wants to just hangout with you. I hope this has blessed someone today! If it did, please share it with a friend so they too, can be blessed! Love y'all!!
