Transitional Pieces For Spring // Fashion

Well folks, we are on the home stretch towards spring time.🤗 Which makes me so happy, because I am not a lover of cold weather. And Florida keeps playin games with me, gettin my hopes up, just to smash'um...😟 However, considering that it will officially be spring in like 2 weeks, I thought why not get a jump start on packing away the bulky sweaters, coats,  and winter boots! Spring is almost here so I wanted to share with y'all some of my must have pieces that will help transition from winter into early spring!!

- Transitional Jackets -

A transitional jacket is basically a thinner jacket that's not super bulky. It will keep you warm in the cool morning and evening times, but will not make you feel like you're in a sauna during the peek of the day. You can go for the classic  denim, which I probably wear more than any other jacket in my collection. You could also grab a cute little moto jacket for a more edgy look. Or a cardigan for a more casual style. My husband got me this Tommy Hilfiger trench coat for Christmas, it is lightweight and literally goes with everything, making it the perfect transition piece that I will be able to use year after year.

- Strappy Heels and Booties -

Strappy heels will dress up any outfit, while also allowing you to show a little skin! 😉 I feel like every woman needs a good pair of strappy heels. I've had these Steve Madden's for almost 4 years now. (I will link them, but I'm pretty sure they've changed the name since I purchased them.) If you're going to be doing a lot of walking, I wouldn't recommend heels, but maybe a little bootie or shootie. They're so cute with a pair of ankle jeans, and it's a nice change from the bulky snow boots and riding boots that we've been wearing over the past several months.

- Floral Print -

Until about a year or so ago, I hadn't wore a floral print in almost 10 years. Someone had made a comment that I looked like a granny in my floral print dress, so I tossed it, and never looked back. Then almost 2 years ago, they made a huge comeback, which I was VERY hesitant about. So I slowly started to get back into florals again. To me, nothing screams 📣 SPRING like a good floral print sundress! They're so fun and flirty, making them ideal for spring time! I found this super cute dress on Lulu's, yall know I love Lulu's!! 😉, for like $10!

- Basic Bodysuits -

Personally I LOVE bodysuits! They are perfect with any outfit. And since they don't come untucked like regular shirts, you dont have to worry about them moving around and getting all bunched up!! 😀 When paired with high waisted pants they elevate your overall appearance, making you look more put together, and somehow they make you appear slimmer!! And yall know, I'm about that life!! 😉 I've actually noticed that all of my bodysuits are purchased from Nasty Gal. For the most part, they are super basic and cheap!! (I wrote a blog post about my favorite online shops, you can read that here!!

- Statement Accessories -

It's probably only been a couple years that I really started getting into accessorizing. I heard it put like this, "shirts and pants are just clothes. It's the accessories that make the outfit." And ever since then I've slowly started to bring accessories into my collection. They are a great way to elevate your overall appearance, and they're so fun to mix and match and just play around with! I've recently started adding hats into my collection, and I absolutely love this one that I found on Amazon. You can use scarves, belts, jewelry, and handbags! Now, I wouldn't recommend using them all at once!! 🤣 Remember in this case, less is more!!
