Reasons That You're Burned Out // Encouragement

Hello friends and fam, Happy Friday! I just have to say, here within the past couple months or so, I have not been on my A game. I wasn't real sure what was going on, I just felt exhausted all the time, everything irritated me, I was just in a funk. And that's not me at all. Then it dawned on me, that I'm not on my normal schedule anymore! I hadn't written anything or even looked at any of my bajillion notebooks since we MOVED... 🤦🏼‍♀️ "Duh Krystal that's why you feel lost!"

I know that I have mentioned this before, but for my new readers, I am a creature of habit. I like routines, I like schedules, I like to plan for things. Since the move, or even before the move really, I have been all over the place.  Between packing up and selling our Florida home and moving 10 hours away, to looking for a new house to buy and finding a new church home, and getting use to the layout of our new town... I just was not in a good place.

So I have put together a few reasons as to why you may be feeling exhausted or stressed, or burned out. I will start with the most relevant to me, then I added a few others because, not everyone is the same!!

There's too much on your plate.
I get it! Sometimes us moms, just gotta suck it up and we just do it. We have jobs with deadlines, and kids with baseball practice, or this or that. Plus we want a social life and still have alone time with our partners. If you look at your plans for the week and think "omg I have so much stuff to do", the first thing you should do is prioritize. Do what you HAVE to do first, then go from there. That way if you dont complete a task it won't be the end of the world.  Next, try to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Dont be afraid to say no!
This goes right in line with the above; I'm here to tell you, it's ok to say NO!! If you already have a pretty thick schedule, and someone asks you to do something else, you can always say no! There is no reason to stress yourself out anymore than you have to. Your kids want to have a friend stay the night, NO. Your spouse wants you to iron his clothes for the next day, NO! Your coworker wants you to cover their shift, NO! It's really that easy.

Your life doesn't motivate you.
If you're not happy with your life, change it! If you feel like a robot at your job, find a different job. Everyone needs a hobby or an outlet that inspires them, and gives them that little nudge to keep going. With me being a stay at home mom, I have to constantly be doing something. Blogging and Instagram is my newest hobby! However, I really think it's more of the modeling part that keeps me motivated. Fun Fact: When I was a teenager, I wanted to be a model,. With me being from Small Town USA, and only being 5'5, there wasn't a very good chance that I'd get to hit the catwalk. So this way I'm able to be creative and do what I want.

You're not putting yourself first.
I can see how this sounds extremely selfish, but when you're on an airplane, the flight attendant basically says to put your mask on first, because you can't help those around you if you're dead. That is obviously my loose interpretation, but the meaning behind it still stands! What I'm saying is, you have to take care of your basic needs first, before you can take care of others. Basic needs, you think food and water, right? Yes and no. Yes we need food and water to live, but that's not all we NEED. First off, are you eating the right foods for your body? Did you know that some foods that you eat, mess with your hormones, which can and will mess with your emotions and even your stress levels? Are you getting the rest that you need? Be sure to put your kids in bed at a decent time, so that you and the hubs can watch a movie together, and still get the rest you both need. Don't forget to get some kind of workout in. Even if it's just 15 minutes a day. Do something that will make you sweat and get your heart rate up. I personally, love to dance, so I go to Zumba twice a week. It doesn't really matter what you do, just be active.

I just wanted to be transparent with y'all, incase some of you may be going through something similar. Just know you're not alone, and things don't have to stay this way. I love you guys, and I appreciate you for being here.
