Testing New Products // June Ipsy Glam Bag Plus
Hey y'all!! Today I am sharing what all I got in my June Ipsy Glam Bag Plus!! And I have to admit, I'm so glad that I upgraded from the regular glam bag's. I loved last month's and I loved most of this month's. For those who may not know what the Ipsy Glambag Plus is, it's a $25 makeup subscription that delivers 5 full size beauty products to your door every month. I personally love when I get my new products each month. I treat it like a challenge. Like, no matter what craziness comes in the box, I try my best to create a look with all of the products.
First up is a face mask from APTO, a brand that I've never heard of before. This mask is kinda different from some of the other masks that I've used. For starters it looks like mustard going on 🤢 thank the lord it doesn't smell like mustard! 😄 Anyway, it's not real thick at all. The instructions say to apply a thin layer on clean skin and let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes. It washed off really good, but it does kinda leave your face looking yellow, so you really have to make sure you clean off all of the product. I use white towels and wash rags so I'm hoping it doesn't stain my stuff yellow.... I'll keep y'all posted on that!💛
Second item in my box was a Vitamin C Brightening Booster from 111Skin. Again, a brand that I've never heard of before. This definitely feels like a dry serum, if that makes any sense at all. Its not oily or greasy so it doesn't go on like such. I had to pat it on. I think I'm gonna have to use this product for a while to see any results from it. But vitamin C is really good for your skin, so I'm looking forward to that!
Next item up is an eyeshadow palette from a collaboration that Ipsy did with Tetris in honor of their 35th anniversary, which is so cool! I love when I get limited edition products like these! As far as the actual palette goes, it's not bad, it's just there are 4 shimmery shades that are all kinda wild.. There are 2 matte neutrals, so that's good. The mattes went on just fine. I only used the tiniest amount of the hot pink on the outer corner.
Then I got an eyeliner and liner brush set from SUVA beauty, and it didn't work... like at all. I have to say out of all the products that I've received from Ipsy over the years, I've never received a product that just didn't work!! 🤷🏼♀️
And last but not least, I got a lip crayon from Trestique. This is really a 2 in 1 kinda deal. The lip crayon part is matte, but there's a lip balm at the other end to make your lips shiny. So whatever your feeling that day, you have the option to have matte or shiny lips!! I love the combo, it's a very pretty pink, although I probably won't wear it in public 🤣
And that's all for today! Overall, I got a great box this month! I know that I'll use the face mask and vitamin c serum everyday (til it's gone!) Maybe I can send the eyeliner back and get a new one🤷🏼♀️ I probably won't use the lip crayon very much, but I'll definitely use the mattes in the eyeshadow palette!
