Shoes That Never Go Out Of Style // Fashion
Let's. Talk. Shoes. The other day, 🙄 well, a few weeks ago really, I wrote a blog post titled "Key Items That You Need In Your Closet" basically talking about my must have closet staples. Within that I briefly touched on shoes, and THAT my friends, is where this post stems from!!😂
All of the shoes that I'm going to talk about in this post are all considered to be "classic". And where I love to play with fashion from all genres and mix things up, I feel like I have a more classic sence style. And classics are classic for a reason! Which is why I think every woman needs to have these shoes in their closet!
1. Stilettos - I would say that the stiletto is probably the most iconic shoe ever made! 👠👠Google says this, "A stiletto heel is a long, thin, high heel found on some boots and shoes. It is named after the stiletto dagger, the phrase being first recorded in the early 1930s." Since the dang 30's people! Almost 100 years ago! And yes I know that a stiletto can be on any type of shoe. What I'm talking about is the pointed toe slip on stiletto! You cannot go wrong with this shoe ever! This particular shoe can be worn year round, and goes with EVERYTHING!! Jeans, slacks, dresses, skirts, and even shorts!! 👀 YES, shorts!
2. Strappy Heels - There are so many styles of "strappy heels", but the classic strappy heel is the style that has a strap across top of your toes and then straps around and buckles at the ankle. I love this style so much because, like the stilettos, they go with everything in my closet! I usually tend to pull these guys out in Spring and put them away in Fall. Now these don't necessarily have to be high heels, there is a more sandal style that you could opt for that has a lower heel.
3. White Sneakers - Growing up my mom always made sure that I had at least one pair of white sneakers. As a kid and even into my teen years, I remember always having a pair of Ked's. In my later high school years, I had a pair of white Tommy Hilfiger kicks that were more "cheerleader" style. As a young adult I was a preschool teacher and always wore a pair of white New Balance sneakers with my scrubs. And now, as I'm in my 30's I have another pair of white Tommy Hilfiger sneakers that I wear ALL THE TIME!! Now that you're up to date with my white sneaker history, 😂 I think it's safe to say that I love a good pair of white sneakers!!
4. Statement shoes - Statement shoes are those shoes that you don't wear often. They're the one's that probably cost a little more than you're willing to admit. They're also the ones that make you feel AMAZING when you wear them! And that's why it's so important to have at least one pair of statement shoes in your closet, it boosts your self esteem like no other! These are the shoes that show your personality. Whether they're neon, rainbow, or covered in freaking butterflies, you do you honey!
