The Difference In Fact And Truth // Encouragement
A few weeks ago I wrote a blog post titled "Reasons You're Burned Out". It did surprisingly well. I was so proud of myself, goodness I was just so excited about this particular blog post that I spent days working on! Then as most writers do, I re-read the words that I typed out over and over and over again. Until it hit me, Krystal. THIS IS A LOAD OF CRAP!...😳
In that post I pointed out some reasons as to why you may be going through certain situations, and then gave ways to fix them, according to the world's view's and logic.
The woman at the well, Fact: she was sleeping around with multiple men. Truth: God said, you are my daughter, you were created in my image, you are the apple of my eye and I love you! You see what I'm sayin? I just pointed out facts, but the truth is, God said, "cast your cares on me, because I care for you".
Fact: there are seasons in life that are just hard. There's no way around it, they just suck. You may be under tremendous amounts of stress, you may be dealing with a tragedy, a health problem, or maybe it's coming at you from all directions. Truth: Jesus loves you and He knows how hard this season is. He knows your worries, your fears, and every emotion that cycles through your brain. He's holding your hand through it all, and wanting you to cast ALL of your cares on Him. Every Single One! The big ones, the small ones, the ones that you don't think are that big of a deal, but they are. The ones that seem embarrassing, and the ones that seem too hard to say out loud. He wants all of it!
Remind yourself a thousand bajillion times a day to cast your cares and pray over and over for God to guide you, give you peace, relieve your anxiety. Ask for rest. Ask for help. Don't push yourself so hard. You can't make everyone happy. You can't please everyone. You can't give 100% to 50 different things. Jesus never intended for us to carry the worlds burdens. He wants us to show the world His love, by being kind to others and to ourselves. You can't give to others if your tank is empty.
You're walking through darkness, but darkness never wins. It never lasts forever, and the joy and healing on the other side is worth the fight. You're strong, you're bigger than your problems because God is. You can rest today knowing that these troubles aren't yours to carry or figure out, they're God's troubles now! He's willingly taking them from you, so that you can enjoy yourself and enjoy this one life. He loves you and so do I!
