Testing New Beauty Products // January Ipsy 2020
Hey guys, what's up?!! So I am really pushing it with todays post! Lol We are going through my January 2020 Ipsy Glambag Plus... I KNOW.... 😩 I've already recorded this, I had planned on doing this on my YouTube channel, BUT... my box came in pretty late this month and with us having terrible service it's really hard to do what I needed to do to get the video up in time. Basically nothing was falling into place, and i wasn't going to stress over it. SO, here we are with todays blog post!! 😅
For those who don't know, Ipsy is a monthly subscription that offers a variety of makeup, beauty, and skincare products. I have the Glambag Plus which is $25 a month, and you get 5 full size products; and they've recently started adding makeup bags to the Plus. There are 2 other levels the standard Ipsy which is $10 a month, and you get 5 deluxe samples, (I did this one for years up until they implemented the Plus 😉) Then, there is the Ipsy Ultimate, which is like $50 a month and you get 12 products being a mixture of deluxe samples and full size.
The second product in my box was a lip treatment from Hanalie. Personally I have never heard of this brand. However after trying this lip treatment, I was an instant fan!! Now dont get me wrong, the smell is not the most glamorous, BUT it leaves your lips feeling so silky soft. I am an avid Carmex user, so I go to sleep with carmex on, and will sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and have reapply. Not with this, this stays all night. It is a thicker consistency, so maybe that's why is lasts all night. The value is $20.
Next up in my box is an eye serum from Purlisse. I am huge on eye creams at the moment. I seriously layer on so many at night! 😅 This 4 in 1 claims to ease fine lines and crowd feet, but honestly I can't vouch for that just yet, since I do use so many, I can tell if this specific one is doing anything at all. I will continue to use and will fill you in later on the progress! The value is $58.
Now into the makeup!! 💄 I got a lipstick from Natures Cartel in Gin and Platonic. In the pic below, it looks like a deeper orangey brown. However, when applied it definitely pulls more red, maybe it's the color of my lips that change it so much 🤷🏼♀️ When I first applied it to my lips it did not want to come off, like I had to really apply a good amount of pressure to get any color. The next time I tried it, it went on a little more smooth, but not much. It is pretty drying on,
And lastly, I received an eyeliner from Sugar Cosmetics in I'll Be Black. For someone who is not very skilled in the eyeliner department, this one is ok. I like the super fine tip and the stability of the tip, but I feel like it's not moist enough to get a good line. Almost like it was dried up??.... 🤷🏼♀️... Although, it does last all day once you get a line. The value is $15.

First up in the bag was a face scrub from Goldfadden MD. As a huge fan of Dr. Brandt, I have to say that this scrub is right on par. It's fine milled and can be super abrasive. If you don't have sensitive type skin, you could probably use this daily with a light hand. Your skin will thank you for the antioxidant nourishment it gets from seaweed and organic red tea extract. The value is $38.
