🚫 The Worst Kind Of Friend 🚫
I love it when I'm down to THE WIRE.... and have nothing to write about for my Friday post, but then I find a little gem in my drafts 😃 that I started 8 months ago!! 😅 I wrote a blog post back in May called, keys to living a content lifestyle. which is what inspired today's post...
In that post, one of my points was to "find positive friends". With that, you really have to make yourself aware of those "negative friends". And to be honest there are several types of negative behaviors, so I wanted to point out some different types of friends, who are not going to be good for you.
The Jealous friend - She isn't really there for you. She will be unhappy when you're succeeding in life. They're not truly happy for you.
Passive Aggressive / Narcissistic - Will manipulate you, to make you believe them over everything. They are addicted to being the center of attention. Always bragging on themself. Has to 1 up you.
The Gossip - They enjoy speaking poor about others. I heard this a few years ago, and it really stuck with me; "if they will talk about others to you, they will talk about you to others." They will lie to exaggerate the truth, for a better "story".
Negative Nancy's - Everything is wrong. They love to complain and constantly talk about the bad things going on.
Drama Queen / Trouble Maker - There's always something happening in their world, where they constantly need your attention. Nine times out of ten it's from a situation that she created.
Compares And Competes - She will constantly compare herself to you and others around you. They are never satisfied with themselves, so they turn everything into a competition. They have to be better than you with everything!
When you sit back and examine your friends and sometimes family, can you pinpoint these behaviors? When is it ok to cut ties? If you give 2nd chance and they do it again, I'd say cut them out. You are priority in your life, and ultimately its your choice who you allow in your life. I hope this has been helpful and informative.
