4 Hobbies That Every SAHM Needs
As most of you know, I am a Stay At Home Mom (SAHM). I started staying at home when Gavin started Kindergarten and Lillian was 1, so for 9 years. And I had thought several times about getting a job here & there, but when I would crunch the numbers, it never made sense. It always turned out best if I stayed home. With that being said, I have put together 4 hobbies that every SAHM needs. Because we know we would lose our ever lovin mind if we didn't have something to keep us busy!!😅

Something that makes you money! You know, a side hustle. Personally I have sold AVON & It Works. Roughly 9 years ago, had a crafting business making hair bows and tutus. 6 years ago I got my Zumba Fitness Instructors License, so that brought in a little cash. Now, where I still have my Zumba gig, I also have stepped into Influencer Marketing. So if I link something, like the dress I'm wearing in the cover pic, and you purchase one of your own, I'll make commission off that purchase. Even if it's pennies on the dollar. (Kinda like going into a department store.). Whatever it is that you love to do, see if there's a way to capitalize on it!🤑
Something that keeps you in shape! Up until we moved to Hot Springs 2 years ago, I was never able to go to a gym to workout. The only way I was able to there, was because they had childcare. So that was a whole new experience for me. Before I started teaching Zumba, I just did random workouts at home. All I'm saying is do something that helps you, your body, & even you mental health. When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine. And yes, I totally copied that from Google!!
Do something that keeps you creative! Cooking, sewing, painting... I grew up in a house that loved to eat good food! With my mom in the kitchen and my dad on the grill 🔥 That love of cooking was passed on to me; and I know my husband is extremely grateful for that!😅 Sometimes I get stuck in a cooking rut, and that's when I turn to Pinterest! Lol Pinterest will never let you down!! When I was making hair bows for my girls, the different colors and patterns of their outfits would keep the creative juices flowing!! When it comes to Zumba, I get to create all the dances that I want!! And with blogging, I get to create all the content that I want!!
Build your knowledge! The best way to grow your knowledge is by reading! 📚 Reading has never been on my top "to do" list; but when I get in a reading kick, that's all I'll do. Like when I start a new book, I'm out of pocket until it's finished. And that applies to both novels & when I'm researching something. My most recent "research" has been with gardening. I'm still extremely new to all that gardening has to offer, so I'm still having to read to understand different parts of it. So again, whatever has your interest, read into it, learn all you can about it. Never stop learning!
