👗 Elavate Your Fall Outfit // Fashion
After just sharing some of my favorite and not so favorite fall trends last week, I thought I'd piggyback off that and share a few ways that will really elevate your fall outfits this coming season. And you probably already have these few things in your collection.
1. Hats. You can keep your outfit very simple, let the hat do the work. It will keep you warm and chic at the same time! I've actually started a small hat collection. I even started to include hats in different colors!! I think this year I'm wanting to add some green, so I have my eyes open for an olive color.
2. Separates. Knitwear / sweaters / cardigans. If you dont like the thick chunky sweaters, opt for cashmere. Its very soft and warm AND it looks so nice on! Bulky sweaters can sometimes make you look wider / bigger / heavier. By shopping for seperates, you will ultimately get more bang for your buck!🤑 Separates allow you more flexibility to mix & match to create new outfits!
3. Slacks. We are entering the slacks season, so you need to stock up on them. Be sure to have multiples of your favorite color to wear. If you saw my latest YouTube Fall Haul video, you would have seen that I had just ordered 3 super cute pairs, but they were unfortunately too small so I had to return them...😩 Slacks or trousers, as some call them, definitely gives your over all outfit a boost. They take it from casual to classy in a snap!
4. Boots. Boots or Booties really. You can step outside the box and get different colors, if thats your personal style. However, if you stick with the neutral colors, they will always look nice. I do have a pair of red boots in my closet that I bought when I was in high school, but for the most part I stick with black and brown. This year I'm really going to try to find different color boots that can be incorporated into my collection. Also having different styles of boots in your collection will give you a variety. I don't recommend having only 1 style. Personally, I like to have all the styles!😅 Seriously, this way I can dress according to how I feel that day! I have everything from flat riding boots to gold studded booties that are definitely on the tougher cowboy-biker side, to what some call "hooker" boots!! Choices, I need choices!!
5. Coats / Jackets. Outerwear is probably one of the most important items that you should invest in. I have to admit, I'm kind of a coat / jacket hoarder...😬... I did pull out a couple to donate, only because I had finally made a few investment choices and I no longer wore the others. Be sure to have a variety of colors & textures. Depending on where you live, you can determine whether you need a heavy coat or light jacket. I'm in the south so I have a mixture of them all!!
Of course there are loads more items that you could use to elevate your outfit, but I think 5 is good for now!! I hope yall enjoyed todays post! What are some things that you like adding to your fall outfits to make it feel like an outfit, and not just clothes?!!
