👗 Fall Trends 2021 // Fashion

Even though we're still technically in 🌞 Summer and I'm in absolutely no rush for it 🍁 Fall is on its way. Google says September 22nd.. thats like 3 weeks from now. I don't do these "trendy fashion" posts with every season change, but I do every now & then when I remember to do them. I am trying to be more intentional with them though! So today I'm bringing you some of the trends that we're going to be seeing everywhere Fall 2021 😎 To be honest, I'm not a fan of several on this list. Then again there are some fall staples / classics, so it makes sense that they're going to be trending. And then we have some that are spilling over from last year.. so we're working with a big jumbled up mish-mesh of styles. Please keep in mind this is for fun & MY OPINION, which is not important!😉

Knits - Let's get this one out of the way real quick. Knits in the fall / winter months are inevitable. No matter your specific "style", every genre of fashion has their own version of knitwear. This season we have sweaters, cardigans, dresses, pants. All of which can be mixed and matched with any & all colors & prints.... it's kinda insane... I think I'll play it safe and stick with the sweaters & cardigans in neutral plain colors!!

Denim on Denim - Denim is a given! Like the knitwear, denim is a yearly fall staple. I for one am a huge fan of the Denim Dan look. What I can't get down with are the denim jumpsuits. Just.. NO... Leave that one for the kiddos!😉 Side note, let's have a talk about low rise jeans making a comeback!! I've kinda gotten use to the high waist, but I will definitely welcome the low rise with open arms!! I use to rock them in high school, not sure how that would work now having had 3 babies since then...🤔..

This 👇🏻 yes all the way!!

This 👇🏻 that's a negative!!

Sweater Vests - Sweater vests are not in the normal yearly rotation. With these it really does depend on your personal style; sweater vests are not for everyone.  I do like some styles, but not all of them. I personally don't have a sweater vest, but I'm looking into it!

Yes to this👇🏻
No to this👇🏻

Maxi Puffer Coats - I love a good puffer coat. However, here in the south we wouldn't need these til the end of fall, beginning of winter..🤷🏼‍♀️ As for the maxi style, I think I'll have to pass on that one. Maybe if I lived further north where they get loads of snow, I would go for a maxi coat. But not here where we get 2 inches every other year.

Faux Fur - I can do small bits of faux fur, like a hood trim situation, but not a full on fur coat. I know lots of people wear it, but it's never been a thing for me. And whoever thought it was a good idea to put faux fur in a shoe, has serious issues..🤮 I've seen some handbags floating around that are kinda cute, but I'm not sure it's for me.

This 👇🏻 yes absolutely!
This 👇🏻 NO way!!

Sequins... - And I add the dots behind it because, TBH... I've been over this one for a whillleeee.......🙄.... Don't get me wrong!!! There is a time and a place for sequins; like your Ugly Christmas Sweater. Or on my daughter's t-shirts... 🤷🏼‍♀️ we have lots of those! I tried this trend when it came in 2 years ago, but I just can't get on board with this one.

Fringe - The wave of fringe is coming in strong this season. Now, I can handle a little fringe, I don't have a lot, only a bag that I've had for about 5 or 6 years. I think it really came in with the western trend that hit a few years ago, but it's definitely picking up the pace. They're are even people making fringe lined jackets and boots DIY videos. I remember my mom used to, (or maybe still does..) love fringe. She had several pieces in her closet when I was younger. 🗣📢 MOM... let's see what you got!!

(I tried to find a fringe piece that I actually liked, but this was as close as I could get..)👇🏻

Nude & Blush tones! - I have always shy'd away from the lighter nudes, mainly because my skintone is super fair. Until recently that is. I started with adding blush pink a few years back, then bought a nude toned top this past year. And I've really become more comfortable with the skintone tops. So I'm really glad that these are trending at the moment!

Sheer & See through - I have to admit, this is not a favorite of mine. I'm usually having to put on an under shirt because some tops you can see straight though ...  Now I do have a black long sleeve top that has sheer sleeves, which I think that's definitely the more tasteful way to wear sheer clothing. I also have a dress that I got to wear in Vegas that has sheer cutouts. Again, my opinion, but I think that's a classy way to add this trend to your wardrobe!

Of course there's more, but I thought these were a good start. Again these are all in good fun, and I hope yall enjoyed todays read! Have a great weekend!!
