Pros & Cons of a Short-Term Rental
Good Morning!!☀️ I thought I'd share a few photos and tell our experience with the short term rental that we stayed in while waiting to close on our house here in Jacksonville π΄ I know not everyone moves as often as we do, but you may find yourself needing a short-term rental at some point, and I'm here to help a girl out!π
We went through Corperate Suite Shoppe, who set us up at The Loree. The lady who handled our account did a phenomenal job. She was helpful, extremely nice, and very down to earth. (If you end going through this company, ask for Lisa!π) The only thing available for what we needed and that fit the time frame, was The Loree in South Jacksonville. Which I've been told numerous times, that South Jax is the way to go, so it was a win win!!
The Grounds had a great set up, offering many amenities, which we used often! While we were there both Stephen and I used their on-site gym ππΌ♀️ It didn't offer enough equipment variety for him, but it was plenty for me. The photos make it seem like a large space, but Stephen referred to it as "the shoebox"... π€·πΌ♀️ It had everything I would need except for a studio floor ππΌπ
The clubhouse was beyond beautiful π They had multiple hangout / common areas with a full kitchen, if you wanted to entertain friends or family. It was decorated with really nice furniture that seemed to have been very well kept. Stephen and I would go down at least once a week to the game room, to shoot a few games of pool. They also had a ping pong table right outside the clubhouse. I never took a pic of that area.. but I stomped Stephens behind in ping pong so many times on that table!!π€£
The pool was a great size, but I feel it was kinda small for the size of the complex; it was still beautiful though! I think they call it a "resort style" pool. Which it definitely has a resort feeling while you're there. I enjoyed the fact that both ends were shallow and the deepest part was in the center, and that was only like 5 ft. I think what really made it feel like a resort, was the palm trees sprinkled around!π΄
The apartment itself was ok. I think it could have been better, especially for the price. I think they labeled it as a "luxury apartment" because it had quartz countertops... π€·πΌ♀️ I honestly don't know. I mean it was a nice basic apartment that served its purpose as a temporary "holding place", but it shouldn't be labeled luxury! Then again it could have been the furnishings. It seems as though they (I'm not sure who "they" are..) went to a Rent Way and bought the whole showroom floor model. We were on pins and needles that our kids were going to break the dinning table & chairs. Likewise with the dishes & small appliances. If I were a betting person, I'd bet they were bought from Dollar Tree! Not that there's anything wrong with Rent Way or Dollar Tree, but for the price that we were paying for a "luxury" apartment, the furnishings were less than sub par.
Every time we go into a temporary place like this, I like to take a few photos and/or videos before we bring our personal belongings in. It gives me something to refer back to, for just in case purposes. Now after being out for 2 weeks, and this article going out, I can officially delete these pics out of my phone!!π

So when it comes down to the pros & cons of a short term rental, I think the pros outweigh the cons by a lot. Overall, we had a nice experience. And to be honest, I'll definitely do it again when that time comes. I hope this was helpful in some way, I tried to be as informative as possible. Wishing y'all a happy weekend, see ya next week!!
